Dear Grandmasters, Masters and Instructors,
The past six months have been an incredibly challenging time for our industry and our society.
Small business, academic schools and daily life were severely disrupted. COVID-19 created a level of anxiety and uncertainty that has affected every household.
As Taekwondo Professionals you are to be commended for your activity and your ingenuity in the face of this challenge. Throughout the industry your response was as creative as it was swift. Most of you transitioned to online classes in a matter of days. Your dedication to your students and your determination to maintain your business overcame your hesitation and unfamiliarity.
Even now, there are those of you who are still teaching exclusively online or even outdoors, so that you may continue to stay viable and serve your students. For years Taekwondo masters have taught the principles of indomitable spirit, and now you are displaying it for all of your students to see.
Exactly what lies ahead is still unknown, but it is certain that physical and mental health will be a greater priority than ever before. We passionately believe that every community wants and needs a successful dojang. This is why you must persevere and outlast this Pandemic.
As long time owners of multiple schools ourselves, we are proud to call hundreds of you our colleagues. We know that now more than ever it is time for our industry to come together to help one another.
The American Sabumnim Association and Taekwondo Professionals have always worked together synergistically. We both have the same mission which is to preserve, protect, and grow the future of Taekwondo dojangs. Both of our organizations were forced to cancel our live events in 2020 but we also were still determined to serve the Taekwondo industry.
Therefore, we are partnering together to host the first ever online Taekwondo Leaders Virtual Conference on Saturday November 7th. In this way we will bring you updated business strategies and classroom management tips with the greatest convenience and lowest cost. Our goal for this event is simple, to provide you with information and motivation that you can apply immediately to improve and speed up your recovery.
